Overview
This core-bit family combines a spiral annular head with PDC cutters. The source collection identifies NTW, NQ and HQ configurations; the photographs show examples from that family.
Cutting Structure and Configuration
The open center provides the core passage, while cutters are arranged around the annular face. Different core-barrel series require different dimensions and connections and should not be treated as interchangeable.
Applications
Use this family when evaluating PDC coring tools for geological exploration. Match the barrel, core opening, outer gauge and cutter arrangement to the formation and flushing system.

Provide the exact core-barrel series, outside and inside diameters, thread specification, formation and flushing conditions. The illustrated examples do not establish compatibility for every NTW, NQ or HQ barrel.
Barrel and core-opening checks
List the exact NTW, NQ or HQ barrel manufacturer and series, bit outside diameter, core-opening diameter, thread and shoulder dimensions. Compare the connection photograph with the barrel drawing. A nominal barrel name alone is not an interchangeable-fit specification.
